The Oregon Football squad has a yearly tradition in which members of the team take a trip to McKenzie River to go floating for the day.

However, 8 weeks ago that fun tradition turned tragic as Todd Doxey, 19, died after drowning in the river.

Todd Doxey once promised his grandmother that he would run the tunnel under Autzen Stadium, and play for the Oregon Ducks.

All-American safety Patrick Chung wore number 29 in their season opener against Washington. The number 29 was Todd Doxey’s number, and will be rotated amongst duck players throughout the season.
